Police are seeking the public'southward assistance to identify five hooded thieves who stole more than $19,000 worth of iPhones from a New York Apple store on Friday.
According to a Mon Facebook post from the Suffolk County, N.Y. Police Department, the men stole 21 iPhone 8 and iPhone Ten devices from the Apple Store located at 180 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station.
"The men grabbed the phones off a display table and ran from the store," constabulary wrote. "The men were all wearing hooded sweatshirts."
The unabridged incident was, of course, caught on security cameras. Police have released a video of the heist, along with zoomed-in images of the perpetrators, which you can check out below. There's also a good chance police also accept the serial number of every stolen phone.
As you lot can see from the video, the men were in the Apple Shop for more than than two minutes earlier yanking the devices from the display tabular array and making a run for information technology.
Anyone with information about the heist tin can submit an anonymous tip to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting "CRIMES" (274637), or emailing www.tipsubmit.com. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of upward to $v,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
Pricey Apple tree devices are a pop target for thieves. Earlier this year, crooks stole more than $100,000 worth of Apple products from a Best Purchase past breaking in to the store through the roof. In Nov, 313 iPhone Ten handsets worth more than $370,000 were stolen from a UPS truck.
